The new scoreboard on our East diamond of the Marseilles Sports complex in Marseilles Il. Made possible through a donation from Invenergy, Grand Ridge Wind Farm
New Scoreboard stands tall over field 2
The new scoreboard is up and ready for the start of the new season. We would like to thank Invenergy for their donation that made purchasing  of the scoreboard possible. As many of you know the old scoreboard was in dire shape and needed to be replaced. The new scoreboard is 6 foot by 4 foot and features red LED numbers. We would like to also thank the City of Marseilles for  removing and installing the new scoreboard for us, which should last for a good many years to come. We would also like to thank Edna Gallick for her tireless work in contacting, requesting and collecting all the donations last year and again this year. Without her hard work none of this would have been possible.
Tagday was a big success raising over $3,000.00 for the league. Thanks to all the teams and volunteers for their work in collecting the donations.
Our concession stand is back in business after extensive flood damage last year. The newly remodeled concession stand was thoroughly scrubbed with bleach, painted and new cabinets and counters were installed. The concession was also rearranged and organized to better serve the public and workers alike. We would like to thank Bob Newkirk for the donation of the cabinets and counters.  We would also like to thank Tracy Bentlin for her part in the cleaning, remodel and organization of the concession stand. She also volunteered to run the concession stands this year, which entails ordering and stocking of the stands as well as organizing the workers. So thanks to everyone that helped in readying everything at the diamonds so far this year.
Opening day ceremonies will begin at 10am this Saturday on Field 1. Teeball and Instructional teams should be there at 9am to receive their uniforms. All players should be at the diamond no later than 9:30, in uniform. Find your team and stay within your designated area denoted by the signs that will be hung on the out field fence. There will be two games played Saturday and all are welcome to stay and cheer on the teams. The concession stand will be open and with temperatures expected to be in the 80's it will be a beautiful day to enjoy a game or two.
